In the Macenta region, the Toma people crafted a classical African mask with distinctive features. This African mask has four small horns rising from the top and a heavy brow with small eyes on either side and a large nose. The brow ridge is decorated with linear patterns. The African mask has perforations around the edges to attach fibers and hide. Its patina is dark and variegated.
