Guro Sect refers to a group of masks that are regarded as a family. It consists of several animal masks and a woman mask. Gu, often identified as the wife of Zambul, performed in ceremonies for settling disputes and discovering wizards, or danced at funerals and other ceremonies. A Zamble is a creature that combines the features of a hyena, crocodile or leopard, and an antelope. In her performance, accompanied only by the flute, Gu moved slowly and gracefully and sang Zambul songs. The theme of women and snakes is clearly borrowed from the myth of Kuro.
