The Baule African Mask,People of Côte d'Ivoire created a Portrait African Mask, also known as an Mblo. The African Mask,is made out of finely carved and polished wood, and features a rich dark African Mask, patina. The face is adorned with intricate scarification marks located between the brows, on the cheeks, and at the corners of the mouth. Delicate incisions at the hairline delineate two rows of headbands, with the closely-spaced pattern extending upwards into the coiffure.
